The 4-H section of the Madoc Fair provides an oppurtunity for 4-H members to take part in learning experience beyond the local level. These classes allow members to display skills they have learned in their own clubs.

Hastings County 4-H Clubs
4-H Offers countless opportunities and immeasurable personal development to young people ages 9-21. Many 4-H Clubs achievements are recognized and generously rewarded by the Madoc Fair Board and other sponsorships.
There is a wide variety of 4-H clubs available for youth to choose from, including Dairy, Beef, Horse, Animal Friends, Judging, a wide variety of cooking and crafting clubs, ploughing and many more.
Section 1 - 4-H Hall Display
All entries to be set up in the 4-H Building by 9:00 am Saturday, September 14th, 2024. Entries must be removed Sunday, September 15 between 3:30 and 4:00pm. Exhibitors are advised not to display valuables as there will not be a protective screen.
Class A: 4-H Club Exhibits
All clubs in Hastings County participating in projects from September 2023 until September 2024 may enter an exhibit.
Table space of 3' x 3' will be provided.
Exhibits must include the title of the exhibit and 4-H clubs name.
Prize money - all entries receive $20
Class B: Youth Leader and Special Project Exhibits
Open to all 4-H members who have taken a Youth Leader Project September 2023 to September 2024 and 4-H members who have done an exhibit as a special project for a 4-H club September 2023 to September 2024.
One entry per person only
Prepare an individual, self explanatory display, as for Achievement Program
Please write you name and name of class on back of exhibit

Section 2: Hastings County 4-H Calf Club Achievement Day
Dairy - Cancelled for 2024 Saturday, September 14, 2024
All calves to be on the fair grounds by 9:00 am
Calves to remain on the grounds until 3:30 pm
Rules
Open to bonafide Hastings County 4-H Club members who have completed their 2024 project work to the satisfaction of their 4-H leader
Unless otherwise approved by club leader, exhibitors must show their own 4-H project calf, which shall be the same calf described on the project information sheet, which the member shall have filled in and submitted prior to June 1, 2024.
$10 Prize Money will be awarded to each entry

Senior Dairy Showmanship, Member 18-21 years of age before Jan. 1, 2024

Intermediate Dairy Showmanship, Members 15-17 years of age before Jan. 1, 2024

The Ringmaster may decide to run two heats if any of the classes 1, 2, 3, or 4 become too large.
