RULES AND REGULATIONSThe following rules are to be strictly enforced.Exhibitors, please read them carefully and send in your entries as early as possible.1.All entries for competition must be registered at the office, one day previous to the opening of the fair. For those who have difficulty placing exhibits in the fair on Friday morning, the exhibit building will be open from 7pm to 8:30pm on Thurs.2.ENTRY TAGS CAN BE PICKED UP AT: Wilson's and Home Hardware or contact: Marion Devolin 613-473-2281 or Lila Curl 613-473-4668. Exhibitors with more than 10 items may phone Lorna Armstrong prior to the fair to obtain an exhibitor number, (473-4100).3.Fee for membership- $6 which is required for exhibiting.4.ALL PRIZE MONEY CHEQUES MUST BE CASHED BEFORE DECEMBER 31, 2011.5.No animal or article to compete for more than one prize, except specials and herds, and in grain and seeds separate parcels must be entered for specials.6.Any persons interfering with the judges while in the discharge of their duties will forfeit prizes.7.Any person exhibiting grain, roots, vegetables, fruits, domestic manufacturer’s and ladies work must be the bonafide grower or maker.8.No bulls may be judged or allowed on the grounds unless chained or otherwise fastened. All senior ages date from the 1st of July, year preceding the fair. of the fair. 9.Prize money totalling less than $5 will not be mailed. Members will be allowed to exhibit as many animals or articles as they wish in accordance with rules 5 and 10.10.No person will be allowed to enter for exhibition more than one specimen in a section. This rule does not apply to animals.11.No sacks or bags will be admitted with marks, names, or initials on them, whereby the owner may be known.12.While the committee will take every precaution to secure the safety of animals and articles, be they injured or stolen, and the directors will give all assistance in their power for the recovery of same, no payment will be made for the value thereof.13.All protests are to be made to the secretary within two days with a fee of $25, said fee to be forfeited to the society if the protest is not sustained.14.All grains, fruits, and seeds to be raised this year (2011), excepting buckwheat and clover, by persons exhibiting the same, (must not be more than one year old.) 15.No articles exhibited shall be removed from the grounds or taken down from the hall until 3:30 pm of the third day of the show. Any person doing so without permission shall forfeit all prize money.16.In the absence of competition in any class, or if the stock or articles exhibited are of inferior quality, the judges are instructed to award only such premium they think the article deserves. They will exercise their discretion as to whether they will award first, second, third or any premium.17.Exhibitors will be required to bring forward their stock when called for by the judges as no animal will be judged unless so brought forward. Exhibitors of all pure-bred registered stock must produce registration papers when demanded by the judges or directors of the department.18.Any person attempting to impose upon the judges by giving certificates or stock of the articles that are not strictly correct shall be disqualified from receiving any premiums.19.If there are not enough funds on hand to pay prizes in full they will be paid pro rata.20.Positively no persons will be allowed on the track while the horses are exhibiting. This rule will be enforced before and after showing. If any, the offender will be dealt with under the provisions of the statute of fine or imprisonment for 3o days, and be at his own risk to any dangers that may happen.21.Prizes will be mailed within 2 months after the date of the fair.22.All articles for the homecraft division must be on the grounds by 11 o’clock Friday, Sept 16, 2011 and must be picked up by 4 pm Sunday.23.ALL EXHIBITORS WINNING PRIZE MONEY MUST MAKE OUT A LIST OF WINNINGS AND SEND TO THE TREASURER WITHIN 10 DAYS AFTER THE EXHIBITION IS HELD.24.THE ASSOCIATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DEDUCT 50 PER CENT OF THE PRIZE MONEY WHERE THERE IS LACK OF COMPETITION.25.An exhibitor must absent himself form buildings during judging.26.Exhibitors of animals must have liability insurance for same.
