The first place winning hand-quilted quilts at District Competition are eligible to enter the O.A.A.S.Championship Quilt Competition at the Annual Convention in Toronto. The entry judged Best of Show at theFebruary Convention will be declared the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies Championship Quilt. A$500.00 Grand Prize will be awarded and the Exhibitor will retain ownership of the quilt.•Entry must have been judged the Grand Champion Quilt of all classes at the local fair. If any Entry wins GrandChampion at more than one fair, the other Fairs at which this quilt was entered and won, should enter theirReserve Champion Quilt in the District III Competition.Note: If an Exhibitor wins Grand Champion at other than his/her own Fair, or more than one Fair, the exhibitor mustconsider the Agricultural Society nearest his/her home address as the one from which the quilt will be sent to theDistrict Meeting.•Entry must be a minimum of 324” measured on the perimeter (smaller quilts will not be eligible to proceed to next level of competition).•Entry must be solely made and hand quilted by a group or individual who is a member of the Madoc Agricultural Society. (payment of $6.00 membership fee).•Upon making an entry into the O.A.A.S. Quilt Competition, the Exhibitor agrees to participate in any promotional activities related to the competition.•The winning O.A.A.S. Champion Quilt will not be eligible to compete in any future District and or Convention O.A.A.S. Competition.Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies MACHINE CHAMPIONSHIP QUILT COMPETITIONThe quilt must be machine quilted by the exhibitor, not a professional. The competition begins at the local fair andcontinues through District III Competition, where ribbons and prize money will be awarded for First, Second andThird Prize Quilts. The first place winning machine quilts from the District Competitions are eligible to enter theO.A.A.S. Championship. Machine Quilt Competition at their Annual Convention. The entry judged Best of Show atthe February Convention will be declared the O.A.A.S. Machine Championship Quilt. A Grand Prize will be awardedand the exhibitor will retain ownership of the quilt. A certificate and ribbon will also be awarded.•Entry must have been judged the Grand Champion Machine Quilted Quilt of all classes at the local fair. If any entry wins Grand Champion at more than one fair, the other Fairs at which this quilt was entered and won, should enter their Reserve Champion Quilt in the District III Competition.Note: If an Exhibitor wins Grand Champion at other than his/her own Fair, or at more than one Fair, the Exhibitormust Consider the Agricultural Society nearest his/her home address as the one from which the quilt will be sent tothe District Meeting. An exhibitor who wins more than one Best of Show title with a different machine quilt atdifferent fairs shall be entitled to enter each winning quilt to compete at the District Competition.•Total perimeter measurement to be a minimum of 192”.
